PA’s 14 community colleges are announcing the launch of the first statewide Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) initiative in the country, called College Credit FastTrack. College Credit FastTrack allows PA’s 14 community colleges to allow adult learners to earn credit for learning through training and work experiences – and establishes common standards for awarding these credits across the state.

Community Colleges Offer 44 Additional Programs in 2014-15 School Year

Pennsylvania’s 14 community colleges are offering 44 new programs in the 2014-15 academic year, offering a wide range of credentials including certificates, diplomas and associate degrees in wide-ranging fields.
